Getting connected

1. Open a Controller+ game on a computer or TV browser: try controller.plus/play, or open the Controller+ desktop app.
2. In the app, choose Scan QR code and point the camera at the code on the screen. You can also scan with your phone's camera and play in the browser, no app needed.
3. Press START on your phone to start the game.

No computer handy? Choose Practice on the controller's screen: every mode has a small game you can play right on your phone.

If it does not connect

• Phones and games connect directly when they can, and through a relay when they cannot, so the same Wi-Fi is not required. If a scan does nothing, make sure the code on screen is current (it changes when a room is replaced) and try again.
• With the desktop app, allow it through your computer's firewall the first time macOS or Windows asks. No router settings or port forwarding are needed.
• On a VPN, connections can take a slower path; try without it if play feels laggy.

The controller

• Change mode (gamepad, wheel, flight), finish, vibration, steering feel and more: press the MENU key on the controller. Settings open on a big screen; the D-pad moves, A changes, B closes.
• Wheel and flight: hold the phone like a wheel and tilt to steer or fly. Tap the hub (or CENTER) to straighten up. If steering feels too sensitive or too soft, change Wheel turn, Smoothing and Dead zone in settings.
• L2 and R2 on the dual-stick pad sit beside the screen by default; move them to the shoulders, or turn them off, under L2 / R2.

Pro

Controller+ Pro unlocks every finish and its effects, Pixel FX, the sound packs and the Pro network. It is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription ($1.99 a month, $14.99 a year in the US) or once for life ($39.99), through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account (on iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions). To use Pro on another device with the same Apple Account or Google account, open the Pro page and choose Restore purchase. Refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
