Source licenses

The apps and SDK are source-available. They are not described as unrestricted open source because their terms include use restrictions.

Mobile and desktop apps

The app repositories use PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0. People may inspect, build, modify and run them for permitted noncommercial purposes. Commercial use and commercial redistribution require separate permission. Third-party components retain their own licenses.

SDK and integrations

SDK use and modification in commercial games is allowed. The draft integration terms prohibit malicious harm to players and unauthorized interference with the controller clients. Ordinary integration, permitted personal modifications and good-faith security research remain allowed.

The SDK's commercial permission does not grant rights to repackage the mobile/desktop app as a competing standalone controller product, or to use the private hosted implementation, website, trademarks or store accounts.

Contributions

Contributions are welcome. Before accepting external code, the project needs an explicit contributor agreement that permits commercial app distribution as well as public source licensing. Contributors keep copyright. A noncommercial-only contribution or a DCO by itself does not automatically provide every relicensing right the product needs.

The final rights-holder, SDK legal wording and contributor agreement are publication gates. Nothing has been published as part of this local build.
